I keep getting these strokes of inspiration.. or maybe just strokes.. whatever.

Guys, (and you know who you are), females are more than just reproductive organs for males. We are people. We have minds. We are thinkers and doers. We are equals. Please respect that.
We were made from the rib of man for a reason. Not from the head to be superior, or from the foot to be trod on. We were made from the rib to be equal.
Don't worship the ground we walk on. Just treat us like people.

My sixteenth birthday yesterday!! Sooooooo much fun. Oh yes. The very spices of life were here at my house.
And a couple of weeks ago, I wrote this.
You know what? I just realized that we're "looking for a perfect fit in an off the rack world". You're not going to find exactly what you're looking for, but there is going to be the one who comes pretty darn close. He or she is not going to be perfect, and we, none of us, can ask for that. We don't have the right to ask for perfection. There's only One Perfect (meaning God). When I find the one who is as close to perfect as he can be, I'll be happy.
But until then, I'm going to try to be happy anyway. Because in today's society, it's all about being with someone at a young age, like 13 and 14. And there are some who would actually hurt themselves because the first one wasn't the right one. I am genuinely sad for those kids. I'm sorry that they didn't realize that there will be others if the first wasn't right. There are those that would cut themselves or worse because of influences from society that say these things should happen. It's ridiculous. Rather than hurting yourself, find solace in the fact that there is someone out there for you, and though you may not find him or her at age 13, he or she is out there, and they're going to be worth waiting for. Don't lose it all because of a disappointment. There is someone who loves you for you.

And if you can't find them in your "appropriate" amount of time, there's always the priesthood or the convents ;-).

Lots of love to my people

AMI

Yes, ladies and.. ladies, it's that time again. Time, once again, to iron those uniforms and look sharper than usual. That's right, it's time for the annual area manager's inspection. I've got colorguard duty, I'm commanding and taking Navy flag. My American flag has the flu and some other virus on top of not feeling his best anyway, so I've been scrambling all day to find someone to take his place. I've got two on deck in case anything happens.
Wish us luck!

You know you're in Redneck ROTC when..

You know you're in ROTC when:
-- You and your friends from ROTC walk together and in cadence. Wthout anyone calling it.
-- You change step while walking with friends without realizing you're doing it.
-- You call every adult sir or ma'am
-- you feel the need to salute even when out of uniform.
-- you polish every black pair of shoes you own, even the ones you're not supposed to.
-- you iron all your shirts with military creases
-- you wish everyone understood what you were talking about when you say "Hey! He's out of alignment!"
-- you wish everyoned understood what you were so upset about when said person was out of alignment.
-- Your CO starts to cry when you win something.
-- when you win something, you can die happy b/c everyone else is so proud and happy.
-- When you hear a bell ring, you immediately jump to attention and wait to be dismissed from class.
-- When being fallen in, it's not unusual to hear "Ok, y'all, fall in!"

Oh yeah. Redneck dominated ROTC, right there.
