In Honor Of Stupid People

This was taken from Kristin's website:
In Honor of Stupid People . . . .In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.
On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping.
(That's the only time I have to work on my hair.)
On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
(the shoplifter special?)
On a bar of Dial soap -- "Directions: Use like regular soap."
(and that would be???....)
On some Swanson frozen dinners -- "Serving suggestion: Defrost."
(but, it's just a suggestion.)
On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- "Do not turn upside down."
(well...duh, a bit late, huh!)
On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -- "Product will be hot after heating."
(...and you thought????...)
On packaging for a Rowenta iron -- "Do not iron clothes on body."
(but wouldn't this save me time?)
On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication."
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5 year-olds with head-colds off those bulldozers.)
On Nytol Sleep Aid -- "Warning: May cause drowsiness."
(...I'm taking this because???....)
On most brands of Christmas lights -- "For indoor or outdoor use only."
(as opposed to what?)
On a Japanese food processor -- "Not to be used for the other use."
(now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)
On Sainsbury's peanuts -- "Warning: contains nuts."
(talk about a news flash)
On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts."
(Step 3: say what?)
On a child's Superman costume -- "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly."
(I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)
On a Swedish chainsaw -- "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals."
(Oh my God..was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)
Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even chuckle)...

Happy Birthday!

It's my brother's 17th birthday today, and I've learned how to say "happy seventeenth birthday" in french. "Joyeaux anniversaire dix-sept!" Go me! haha
I put in my request chit for my written test for PO3. I should be able to take the test either next week or the following, depends on when Nelson gets my chit, and gives it to Rodriguez. So, my dearly devoted 3 or 4 fans, wish me luck! :-D
1st sarge issued the colorguard combo covers.. they look like the ones the Chiefs have, not officers, but they are still wicked cool! I can't believe I just said that, because we have an extra "idiot strap" that comes down around our chins in addition to the regular one. Kyle is gonna have fun calling commands through that, let me tell you.
Homecoming.. I'm running for Homecoming Lady, so Brittany, you'd better vote for me!! I'll probably be going to the dance, with or without a date. Um. I still haven't asked him, but please don't hurt me.. pleeeeease.... I'm a coward. But I'll get over it. I think the ideal time would be after Sunday. So hold me to it, people!
Ok, time to go.
Loves, y'all.

9/11

My dad is flying home from Arlington today, which makes me really nervous. For obvious reasons. But I've talked it over with some people, and I guess I'm not as upset as I was.
They keep making me watch videos and analyses of September 11, 2001.. I can't stand any more. It's awful.
I miss Arlington.. We don't have a Wal-Mart within a 15 mile radius, a video rental place within 25, I haven't seen an Albertson's though they advertise them all the time, the nearest Kohl's is in Georgia or Alabama or wherever, there aren't any Kroger's, and I have to drive for 10 minutes through the crappy backroads before getting to school, and we're lucky if we can find a place with gas for less than 3 bucks. "Clermont is such a great place to live!" My foot it is! Sorry, I don't mean to be as mean as I am, it's just that I'm under a lot of strain for a 15 year old kid.
Moving right along.. I really wanna be going back this summer, but I don't think that is going to happen with work, and some other things I'm not allowed to talk about... :-D
I need some SA's to be doing their practical factors here soon.. otherwise I can't complete mine, and I don't get to take the written test for PO3. Grrr.. and if I don't make PO3 soon... I won't be a chief by the end of the school year, which lowers my chances for getting on staff next year, which lowers my chances even more of running ROTC by my senior year. Wow.. and all fo this because some SA's don't wanna be promoted.
'kay, yeah.

Random Ramblings

Sitting here...at school... after drill practice.... being bored.... with the drama and anime freaks. But I love 'em. They have their own thing. I was just sitting and talking with Brittany for about an hour, something I never thought possible! She's really cool if you just sit and talk with her.
My prayers are with my friends in Mobile and Gulfport and Daphne. I don't know how they are, and I really really hope they're ok.
Have a good one, my marshmallow following!
